About

As recent years have shown, climate change is leading to more frequent and intense periods of heat. In response to these warning signs, it is essential to take measures within the building sector to better protect people and adapt buildings to meet these challenges.

Within the framework of the Adapt project, a monitoring system will be developed and installed in the buildings located in the Greater Region countries that house vulnerable individuals. The system records room temperature and sends this data in real-time to a central platform. After data analysis, an alarm is sent to users if a predefined threshold is exceeded, along with guidance on appropriate measures to take.
The regional context of the Greater Region allows for the establishment of an early warning system that does not yet exist. This project will directly contribute to raising awareness of the dangers and appropriate behaviors during heat waves.
It will also raise awareness among professionals and the public on this topic through both initial and ongoing training.
