Members of the group work on the theory of operads, props and graph complexes which demonstrates a remarkable unity of mathematics and has many applications.

Grothendieck-Teichmueller group in algebra and quantization

Pic2

The Grothendieck-Teichmueller group is one of the most interesting and mysterious objects in modern mathematics. It a central role in many areas such as the number theory, the quantization theories of Poisson manifolds and of Lie bialgebras, in the Kashiwara-Vergne problem in Lie theory, and in the theory of moduli spaces of algebraic curves.
