ProWater aims to pioneer the redefinition of the water transformation paradigm!

To address challenges like scarcity, pollution and climate change, ProWater drives innovative, sustainable and efficient solutions. Our work spans interlinked and complementary research areas which are currently aligned with the European policies (i.e. recast Urban Wastewater Treatment Directive, Water Frame Directive, Green Deal etc.):

• Pollution monitoring, coupled with risk assessment and prioritization to identify and manage threats to water quality
• Development of Ecotechnologies, including Nature-based solutions (NBS), to enhance the resilience of the water cycle
• Recovery of non-valorized water resources (i.e. rain water) for multiple applications, prioritizing agriculture and fertigation
