Xu MA

Current position

Xu MA is a doctoral researcher in the field of soft matter physics in the Department of Physics and Materials Science at the University of Luxembourg. She is a member of the Experimental Soft Matter Physics (ESMP) group led by Professor Jan Lagerwall.

Xu is working on a FNR project which focuses on the optical properties of cholesteric liquid crystal reflectors and the influence of the amphiphilic stabilizer on the alignment of liquid crystals.

Teaching

Xu taught the exercise class of the Continuum Mechanics course at the Department of Physics & Materials Science for three semesters.

Outreach

Xu is keen to participate in outreach activities. She joined Open Day activities once with ESMP group and another time with Scienteens Lab to popularize scientific knowledge to everybody.
