After his medical and speciality training in Strasbourg, Liège, Luxembourg and Paris, he joined the Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg (CHL) in 2005. Between 2017 and 2021, he became the first medical and health director of the newly created “Corps grand-ducal d’incendie et de secours, CGDIS,” where he accompanied the reorganisation and integration of the prehospital emergency services (“SAMU”). In 2021, he integrated the CHL again and became an invited Professor of Medicine at the University of Luxembourg, for the newly created Bachelor of Medicine. He is the University’s first affiliated clinical professor and has served as Director of Studies of this programme since 2024.
