Lekidelu started her career as a lecturer and staff member in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Harmaya University, Ethiopia.
Later, she worked at Pusan National University, South Korea, for two years (2023-2025) as a research assistant. During her stay in South Korea, she engaged in various research activities, especially nanoparticle synthesis through self-assisted spray pyrolysis, and studied the effect of catalysts to decompose ammonia at different temperatures.
Starting from March 2025, Lekidelu joined the Paul Wurth Chair for Energy Process Engineering at the University of Luxembourg, contributing to research on the production of green hydrogen.
