Farzad FALLAHI

Current position

Farzad Fallahi is a postdoctoral researcher at the Faculty of Science, Technology, and Medicine, in the Department of Engineering at the University of Luxembourg.

Research

His research focuses on Finite Element Method (FEM) analysis of mechanical parts, gear design, and the nonlinear dynamics of mechanical systems. He has published six articles in peer-reviewed academic journals and completed several industrial projects, including the design of harmonic drives, cycloid gearboxes, flexible couplings, and gearbox shells.

Teaching

Between 2017 and 2020, he worked as a lecturer at Urmia University and Tabriz Technical College. During this period, he taught courses on Machine Element Design, Strength of Materials, and Dynamics and Vibration.

Work Experience

Between 2020 and 2024, he worked as a mechanical design engineer at ANECo, a company certified in Mechanical and Electrical Equipment Design and Execution, in Tabriz, Iran. He joined the University of Luxembourg in August 2024.

Educational background

Dr. Farzad Fallahi obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Tabriz and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Urmia University in Iran.
