Dr. Deniz Isinsu AVSAR

Deniz Işınsu Avşar is a doctoral researcher in the field of soft matter physics in the Department of Physics and Materials Science at the University of Luxembourg. She is a member of the Experimental Soft Matter Physics group led by Professor Jan Lagerwall.

Deniz is working on an interdisciplinary project funded by the Institute for Advanced Studies (IAS). She works in close collaboration with the Automation & Robotics Research Group headed by Professor Holger Voos. Deniz focuses on preparing human-invisible fiducial markers for assisting robotic wayfinding made by using cholesteric liquid crystal reflectors.

Deniz participated Lab classes in Physics as a part of her PhD education. She supervised the Bachelor students for the lab courses of Optics, X-Rays and Law of Distance experiments.

Before joining ESMP, in 2021, Deniz worked as a Research and Development Engineer at Nanovatif Materials Technologies (Ankara, TR). She worked on the research and the development of silver paste for solar cells. Conducting experiments related production of silver nano structures.
