I am delighted to see that, according to the latest Randstad Employer Brand Study, the University of Luxembourg ranks in the top position. This recognition reflects the University’s ongoing commitment to improving working conditions and establishing transparent career paths for both academic and administrative staff.
In the area of research, Artificial Intelligence (AI) for science will remain one of the main driving forces behind future developments within the Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine (FSTM). At the same time, continuous efforts are being made to further advance medical education.
Several MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) are currently being developed in collaboration with partners across the ecosystem as part of the AI Factory project. This initiative will serve as an exemplary model for how faculties can collaborate to create a new portfolio of certificates, supported by our Competence Centre.
The recruitment of new professors in the fields of AI and generative AI will further strengthen the academic standing of FSTM. The interdisciplinary nature and broad applicability of AI make it a key enabler of large-scale collaborations across diverse domains.
Finally, the continuous efforts of the European Union with Luxembourg government—exemplified by the acquisition of MeluXina AI—and the University itself are essential to powering the engines driving progress in the AI landscape.
