Over two meetings, the University of Luxembourg and the University of Namur have intensified their collaboration, especially in the area of medical education.
On December 17, 2021, Prof. Pierre Garin, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, UNamur, and Dr Dominique Henrion, general practitioner and lecturer at UNamur, visited the University of Luxembourg to present their upcoming specialization in general medicine. Possible synergies such as joint degree opportunities with the Diplôme d’Etudes Spécialisées en Médecine Générale (DES-MG) were discussed.
On March 30, 2022, the rector of the University of Luxembourg, Prof. Stéphane Pallage, visited UNamur, together with Prof. Gilbert Massard, Director of Medical Education, and Dr. Maria Pavlou, project officer of the Bachelor in Medicine.
Our rector, Prof. Stéphane Pallage, had the chance to meet with Prof. Annick Castiaux, rector of UNamur, to exchange views on possible collaborations in study programs on computer science, economics and management. Previous discussions in the area of medicine were deepened, as possible collaboration scenarios between the two universities (Erasmus projects, common training of internship supervisors, internships for BMED students, assessment modalities of bachelor students at UNamur) were discovered.
