My research focuses on the computational mechanics of solids, with a particular emphasis on Bayesian inference, multiscale (quasicontinuum) methods, and mechanical modelling of discrete and fibrous materials. I am also familiar with phase-field damage models and contact mechanics. I have applied said approaches to a diverse range of materials and structures, including cardboard and paper materials, electronic textiles and fabrics, open-cell metal foams, metal wire ropes, rubber and catheters in the human body.
