Michael Philipp ADAMS

Michael Philipp Adams is a Doctoral Researcher in the Nanomagnetism group led by Professor Andreas Michels, in the Department Physics and Materials Science at the University of Luxembourg,

Michael conducts research at the University of Luxembourg, specializing in magnetic neutron scattering from nanoparticles. His work primarily involves large-scale numerical simulations of magnetic nanoparticle systems, analyzing the corresponding neutron scattering observables.

From 2016 to 2021, he led several student tutorials at the University of Applied Sciences Trier, covering topics such as “Systems Theory,” “Linear Control Theory,” and “Electric and Magnetic Fields.”

In the winter term of 2020/21, he served as a lecturer (Privatdozent) for the “Electric and Magnetic Fields” course at the same university.

In the winter terms 2022/23 and 2023/24 he taught together with Prof. Andreas Michels the undergraduate course on Classical Electrodynamics and Special Relativity at the University of Luxembourg.

During his time in at the University of Applied Sciences Trier he received four times the scholarship “Begabtenstipendium des Landes Rheinland-Pfalz” (2015/16/17/18).

In 2021 he received a FNR AFR Individual PhD Grant.

Between 2008 and 2012, he earned an electrician technician degree from IHK-Trier (Chamber of Commerce and Industry).

Michael obtained his bachelor’s and master’s in electrical engineering with focus on Electronics and Telecommunication Technologies at the University of Applied Sciences Trier, Germany.
