From 8 to 10 April 2026, we are delighted to invite you to the 52nd German Liquid Crystal Conference, a conference on the physics, chemistry, applications, or any other aspects of liquid crystals, on Campus Belval at the University of Luxembourg.
During the conference, we will be organising a session dedicated to the possibility of better coordinating European liquid crystal research. The German Liquid Crystal Society has offered to become open to all European liquid crystal researchers, removing its connection to a single country in the process. This could become the seed for a proper European Liquid Crystal Society (which does not currently exist) if such a development would be seen as beneficial. We look forward to a lively discussion and invite you all to participate!
GLCC2026 will be hosted by the Experimental Soft Matter Physics Group of Jan Lagerwall and the Physics of Living Matter group of Anupam Sengupta. The conference will be on-site.
