The GirlsinSciTech campaign continues with an inspiring new story featuring Cristina Barbolan, Head of Controlling at ArcelorMittal Luxembourg.
Cristina’s journey began with a passion for mathematics, a field she chose for its versatility and the wide range of career paths it could open. This led her to pursue her studies at the University of Luxembourg, where she earned a Master in Mathematics in 2013. For someone with a curious and multifaceted mind, mathematics offered both intellectual challenge and freedom to explore.
Today, Cristina leads the team responsible for financial operations and production performance across ArcelorMittal’s steel plants in Luxembourg. She brings analytical precision and strategic thinking to her role, applying the problem-solving skills developed during her studies to meet the demands of real-world industrial challenges.
‟ There are great job opportunities for you, girls! You can bring a different perspective to the field with your unique talent, sensitivity and creativity.”
