About

Quantum technology, including quantum computing as its part, is considered by many leading research nations and their decision takers as one of the enabling technologies of the next generation to profit the world. In this respect, Korea and Luxembourg are emerging players in this field and this project aims to establish mutual cooperation in that field both among the particular research teams and institutions participating in the project as well as more broadly between the corresponding research networks in both countries. We are going to follow one of these tracks by doing collaborative research on one of the representative problems in quantum computing, modelling of quantum phase transitions within the framework of cavity electrodynamics, involving both theoretical modelling and simulations on a state-of-the-art quantum computer. Organizing workshops/visits in both Korea and Luxembourg, we plan to proceed along the other track, inviting researchers working in the areas related to the topic of our proposal both in Luxembourg and Korea, potentially initiating new collaboration opportunities.
