About

The aim of this project is to enhance the efficiency of the hydrogen-based direct reduction of iron ore in a circulating fluidized bed. This enhancement could be demonstrated through higher iron ore conversion rates and gas utilization, reduced energy consumption per unit of iron produced, maintenance of stability, and increased product yield. Achieving these objectives entails optimizing key factors such as system geometry, operating conditions, and input materials, including temperature, pressure, feeding rate, gas flow rates, particle size distribution, and residence time. To accomplish this aim, a computational simulation model will be established and validated using experimental data to accurately represent both the fluidization and reduction behaviour of the iron ore particles. Afterward, to achievethe desired hydrodynamics and reaction kinetics, the validated model will be used to analyze the impact of adjusting key parameters on efficiency. Following the analysis, the impact factors will be fine-tuned to optimal conditions, and optimization strategies will be developed to achieve higher efficiency.
