Admissions
To apply for a programme at the University of Luxembourg, candidates must comply with the general eligibility criteria for the chosen programme type and be selected by the study programme based on the quality of their application.
The DES in Medical Oncology is delivered in a trilingual clinical and academic environment, requiring French (B2), German (B2), and English (B1).
The maximum number of places available per academic year for new admissions to the programme is five (5).

Required Degree
The applicant must have a basic medical qualification obtained in a Member State of the European Union or the European Economic Area or the Swiss Confederation referred to in Annex 5.1.1. of Directive 2005/36/EC or a basic medical qualification obtained in a third country recognised in accordance with the provisions of the Act of 28 October 2016 on the recognition of professional qualifications, meeting, in particular, the criteria laid down in Article 24 of this Act. If the qualification was obtained before the reference date set out in Annex 5.1.1, or is not yet listed therein, a certificate of conformity issued by the competent authority must be provided.
Candidates who are nationals of third countries and hold a second-cycle university degree in medicine obtained in a third country must hold a qualification recognized in accordance with the Law of 28 October 2016 relating to the recognition of professional qualifications, as amended, and must be entered in the register of training qualifications, higher education section. The qualification must in particular meet the criteria set out in Article 24 and comply with the procedures specified in Articles 66 to 68 of that law.

Important notes
Any supporting document in a language other than French, English, or German must be translated by a sworn translator into one of these languages. A copy of the original document must be submitted with the translation.If one of the required documents is missing for Non-EU candidates, the application will be refused.

Procedure
A competitive written and oral examination will be held on June 25th, 2026; the tests of the competitive examination and the number of points allocated to each test will be communicated soon.
