Research with societal impact for Luxembourg and beyond
Demographic changes and topics related to cultural diversity are pressing societal issues in Luxembourg and beyond.
We thus strive to use our research and findings to provide answers to societally relevant questions and advise policymakers. We also cooperate with institutions and policymakers in Luxembourg and Europe, related to the topics of demographic change and aging, migration, and education.
In our institute, we often pursue research for and in cooperation with policymakers and societal institutions in Luxemburg, such as the Ministry of Family Affairs, Integration and the Greater Region, Gero – Kompetenzzenter fir den Alter, or the Ministry of National Education, Childhood and Youth.
We regularly present our research and its implications to relevant stakeholders. Members of our Institute are also active in advisory roles on topics regarding aging (e.g., InfoZenter Demenz, Statec Luxembourg, Conseil superieure des personnes agees, EFPA SC on Geropsychology, Gero – Kompetenzzenter fir den Alter), migration (e.g., Croix Rouge, EFPA Board on Cultural and Ethnic Diversity), education (IFEN: National Education Training Institute) where we offer professional development courses to teachers in Luxembourg and throughout Europe.
