My research interests
My research interests can be gathered under four research fields. The First is relative to Communication and Information sciences. I am deeply interested in the fundamentals of communication, theories of reception, epistemology and history of scientific theories in communication, uses and reception of information, circulation and dissemination of informational content, sociology of reception and uses, changes in practices and professions in the information and communication.
The second concerns Media Studies and Journalism such as fundamentals of journalism, education in media, information and sociodigital networks, founding theories of media and reception studies, deontology and ethics of journalism, journalistic practices, changes in journalism and strategic adaptations to audiences, current research in journalism, critical analysis of the media and the treatment of current affairs, evolution of audiences, pluralism of online information.
The third research field is about influence and opinion. My research focuses on theories of social networks, groups and individuals in decision-making and in the formation of opinion, communication approach to influence, opinion leadership and communication strategies, functioning of the sociodigital influence, marginal reception of information, study of the mechanisms of influence and opinion, study and analysis of disinformation phenomena.
The Fourth and the ubiquitous in my research concerns sociodigital networks. Since my doctoral thesis published in the book L’influence des leaders d’opinion. Un modèle pour l’étude des usages et de la réception des réseaux socionumériques . Prefaced by the Media studies Paris University Panthéon-Assas Professor, Rémy Rieffel and published at L’harmattan editions, Paris, 2021, in the collection “communication et civilisation”, I study and empirically analyze the functioning of sociodigital networks, epistemology of social networks, evolution of the informational ecosystem that has become media-sociodigital, uses of technologies and sociodigital networks, analysis of homophily in the constitution of networks, study of information practices in the digital and sociodigital era, state of the algorithmic context and AI through the prism of the sociodigital.
