Raffaela Grigolli Cesar is a dotoral researcher as part of the EICCA (Economic Insecurity: Causes, Consequences and Actions) Doctoral Training Unit funded by the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR) (PRIDE/23/18689055/EICCA).
Research
Her research focuses primarly on how the exposure to extreme weather events impacts economic insecurity among individuals in the Global South, and whether these effects vary across different socioeconomic indicators, as well as analysing the role of existing social policies in mitigating economic insecurity. Supervised by Prof. Dr. Philippe Van Kerm.

Awards/Distinctions
Raffaela received a Certificate of Excellence by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Luxembourg after completion of the global exchange semester in the Bachelor of Economics at University of Luxembourg in 2021.
Work experience
After completing her master studies, Raffaela has worked as a risk consulting analyst in KPMG Luxembourg, where she focused on the review and validation of market, liquidity and climate risk models for different asset managers and banks from Luxembourg and Germany.
Educational background
Raffaela holds a M.Sc. in Quantitative Economics and Finance from the University of Luxembourg, and a B.S. in Economics from Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa Insper.
