Nancy Morys has been working at the University of Luxembourg since 2010, initially as a Senior lecturer, since 2024 as an Assistant Professor in language education. She studied French language education at the Freie Universität Berlin and Music education at the Universität der Künste Berlin. Nancy Morys has gained teaching experience in various primary and secondary schools in Germany and other countries; she has been teaching for many years in the multilingual teacher training program BScE of the University of Luxembourg. Her doctoral thesis at the Freie Universität Berlin focussed on “Bandes dessinées” (Comics) in the French language classroom. Today, her main research interests are teaching and learning in multilingual contexts, French as a second/foreign language, children’s and young adult literature, power relationships in the language classroom, and teacher professionalisation. She is a member of the Institute for Research on Multilingualism (MLing) in the Department of Humanities.
