Dr Marie Van Cranenbroeck completed a PhD in Information and Communication (UCLouvain, Belgium). Her dissertation brought together museums, information and communication sciences through analysis of inequalities in access to museums, social media (Facebook and Twitter) as a public sphere, online participation, visible and invisible users, present and missing data.
She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Law (UNamur, Belgium) and a master’s degree in Information and Communication (UCLouvain, Belgium). Her professional experience includes work in the socio-cultural sector in Brussels (culture and international law).
She is particularly interested in interdisciplinary research to address inequalities at different levels of our societies. She joined the FNR SEaSons Project and the University of Luxembourg in September 2024.
