Jonathan is currently conducting research on the effects of the literacy project “Alpha Zesumme Wuessen” under the supervision of Prof. Dr Débora Poncelet. His study focuses on the impact of this project on school-family relationships and parental involvement.
Before starting his doctoral studies, Jonathan spent 10 years teaching in secondary education. During this time, he also took on the role of digital learning coordinator, training both teachers and students in the use of digital tools, and served as a coordinator for students with learning difficulties, providing educational support and helping them achieve academic success.
Jonathan holds a bachelor’s degree in human sciences from Henallux (Belgium) and a Master’s degree in Educational Sciences, specializing in school learning environments, from UCLouvain. His thesis focused on educational partnerships and their impact on student engagement, particularly during the transition from primary to secondary school. He is also trained in digital support for teachers and students, as well as in managing students with learning difficulties.
