For REMIX PLACE, a group of researchers, a photographer, a playwright, and a sound artist have been exploring the Terres Rougeson both sides of the Franco-Luxembourg border.

This atypical observation of daily life encourages encounters with people who make this landscape, in which silent metal ruins still stand, where border flows are only increasing.

The idea of ”being-together” is at the center of our thinking and action. How are inhabitants attached to where they live, work, and play? And how do powerful historical, economic, and personal forces influence these connections?

In Summer 2022, we will share the stories we collectedthroughout our exploration of the Minett. Our Agora Café will travel to key public places. In each location, we will create a discussion space to hear citizens’ visions of the future of the region. On July 22, we will conclude the Agora Cafe series with an exhibition of residents’ collaborative visions for the future of the region, photographs by David Schalliol, and sound art by François Martig.
