Robert has been studying the more or less strategic uses of digital media and technologies for learning and teaching, including factors that condition in how far and how they are used in various learning and teaching settings. As a cognitive scientist, he is also interested in subjective theories as well as scientific theories of learning, i.e., how we think (intuitively or based on scientific research) that learning works and what that means for teaching. Moreover, he is interested in the socio-cultural changes in learning brought about by the digital revolution, i.e., how the recent changes in media have caused our understanding of learning to change. You can watch this “Meet the Scientists” video produced by the FNR.LU to get to know him and his research better.
