Why study with us?

The educational environment is rapidly changing. Following international trends in both teacher education and teacher professionalisation, the Luxembourg fundamental education ecosystem is gradually complementing its teaching staff—traditionally generalist teachers in fundamental education—with specialised teachers (and other specialists). The need for both increasing professionalisation, specialisation, and multi-professional collaboration in education is rooted in consequential educational challenges, including:

  • the handling increasingly heterogeneous (and often multilingual) student populations;
  • the adequate consideration for diversity and special needs;
  • the tackling well-known yet persistent educational inequalities;
  • the efficient and effective management of educational resources in (non)formal educational settings, more generally;
  • the integration of formal, non-formal, and informal education;
  • the impact of so-called global mega-trends on educational practices and programmes, and, closely related to the latter;
  • the meaningful integration of (possibly disruptive) technologies.

The present Master touches on all of these interconnected educational challenges, and is specifically designed to equip the students with principles and practices of innovation in education.
