The Alpha Lab offers possibilities for Bachelor’s and Master’s theses of students in Psychology and Educational Sciences.
Our research team is dedicated to fostering academic growth and collaboration in a wide range of areas such as Learning (Axel Grund, Christoph Niepel), e.g., studying perceptions of instructional quality, academic self-concept, motivation, and emotions such as interest and academic anxiety in real-world school settings and higher education; Psychological Health (Philip Santangelo), e.g., investigating clinical phenomena (like affective instability, intrusions, and stress reactivity) in combination with exploring applications in digital interventions and aftercare utilizing mobile sensing (e.g., GPS-based measures of behavior); and Aging (Anna Kornadt), e.g., exploring views on aging (subjective age) and linking these to physiological data, affective experience, and behavior (e.g., physical activity).
