Burcu Sahmurat is a PhD researcher in Psychology in the Department of Behavioural and Cognitive Sciences. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Bergamo (Italy) and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from TED University (Turkey).
Her research examines economic insecurity in later life and its effects on financial stress, and mental health, with a focus on gender differences and personality traits. She studies the psychological mechanisms underlying resilience and vulnerability within a lifespan development framework.
