Understanding (a)typical cognition and its development

Focusing on numeracy and literacy
Numerical cognition and word reading are essential skills in modern societies. We seek to understand how these cognitive functions work at different ages and how they are acquired throughout development and with schooling. To address these research interests we use behavioral and cognitive neuroscience approaches (e.g. EEG) with children and adults.
