Laura is Research Scientist at the Luxembourg Centre for Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LCL). Her research focuses on freight transportation, supply chain and logistics, urban logistics, distribution network design, food supply chain management and sustainability. Much of her research is practice and policy-driven research include food supply systems assessment, and implementation of policy initiatives for sustainable urban freight systems. She is research affiliate to the MIT Sustainable Supply Chain Lab and to the MIT Food and Retail Operations Lab.
Prior to join the University of Luxembourg, she was a postdoc researcher in Chaire Logistics City at Paris-Est University – Gustave Eiffel University. She received a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from École des Mines Saint-Etienne – University of Lyon in 2019. She holds a master’s degree in Management of Information Systems – Supply Chain Management from University of Grenoble – I.A.E Pierre Mendès France. She holds a B.Sc. degree and an M.Sc. degree in Industrial Engineering from National University of Colombia.
