Giacomo ZAMPIERI

Giacomo is Research and Development (R&D) Specialist in Cyber Policy, supporting the Chair of Cyber Policy, at the Department of Law.

In November 2023 Giacomo has been included in the Santander-CIDOB ’35 under 35’ list, which acknowledges the work of 35 young people with the potential to become future leaders in their different areas of expertise and activity.

Also, in 2021 Giacomo was awarded a merit-based monetary prize by EY Foundation and Fondazione Il Talento all’Opera, for his achievements during the Seasonal School “Cybersecurity – A multidisciplinary perspective”.

Before joining unilu, Giacomo was Cyber Policy Associate at the International Committee of the Red Cross – Delegation for Cyberspace, in Luxembourg. He was also an intern at the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) in Brussels, in the Global Governance, Regulation, Innovation and Digital Economy (GRID) unit. Giacomo has also carried out an internship, as cybersecurity consultant, for NTT Data, in Milan.

Giacomo completed his studies graduating from the Master in International Security Studies, jointly organized by the University of Trento and the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies of Pisa. In his final dissertation, he analyzed the cyberspace relevant for humanitarian organizations in their day-to-day digital presence.
