Innovation Killer or Global Model for a Fair, Balanced and Functional Regulation of GenAI’s Copyright Issues?
The Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance and DLA Piper, together with the Benelux Office for intellectual Property and AIPPI Luxembourg, are delighted to invite you to the first lecture of their lecture series “Lëtz talk IP!”.
Abstract
The recently adopted EU AI Act is the first comprehensive regulation of Artificial Intelligence (AI), gained a lot of international traction, and will most likely serve other jurisdictions as a blueprint for their regulatory endeavors in this field. While the EU AI Act provides (limited) guidance on some copyright-related questions of generative AI, several court proceedings are currently pending in EU Member States, the US, and other jurisdictions focusing on the potential copyright infringement by generative AI.
