On 7 March 2024, les Amis de l’Université du Luxembourg (Les Amis) hosted their sixth ceremony to celebrate Scholarship Holders and Award Winners. During the ceremony, ten exceptional students from three faculties of the University of Luxembourg were awarded the Portabella Scholarship 2024. This Scholarship was created by Les Amis, in close collaboration with the faculties and with the financial support of the Luis y Antonio Portabella Foundation.

The evening started with a warm welcome address by the President of Les Amis and Rector Emeritus of the University of Luxembourg, Prof. Dr. Rolf Tarrach. He expressed gratitude to the attendees and emphasized the Association’s dedication to promoting academic excellence. The event continued with the presentation of the Luis y Antonio Portabella Scholarship by the Vice President of the Foundation, Mrs Alexandra Da Silva, who highlighted the significance of the Scholarship and its role in supporting deserving students on their academic journey.
