The Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance (FDFE) is delighted to announce that the Luis y Antonio Portabella Foundation will offer a grant to support 10 students of the University of Luxembourg.
The purpose of these grants is to enable students to pursue their university studies and complete their degree programmes under optimal conditions. Students must be registered at the University for either an Academic or Professional Bachelor’s degree (from the second semester onwards) or a Master’s programme.
These grants are specifically intended for deserving students facing social and financial difficulties.
They will help cover accommodation expenses in a university residence and/or general living costs. In addition to university residences, we also accept accommodation provided by the City of Esch or LISEL. The grant may be allocated for accommodation expenses, living costs, or both.
If you are experiencing financial hardship and believe you meet the eligibility criteria for this grant, you may apply by submitting the following documents to fdef.bourseportabella@uni.lu by Monday, 2 December 2024, at the latest:
- Proof of accommodation in a university residence (or City of Esch or LISEL),
- A transcript of grades (for Bachelor’s students from their second semester onwards and all Master’s students. The transcript should be from the University of Luxembourg or the institution where you completed your first semester or first degree),
- A signed letter of recommendation from your professor or study director,
- An explanation of your financial and social situation (no more than one page),
- A CV (including your student ID),
- Indication of how many semesters you need to complete your Master’s or Bachelor’s degree.
Please note that the email address above is intended solely for FDEF students.
All applications will be carefully reviewed, and you will receive a response by mid-January.
