Claire Schadeck works as a Research and Development Specialist in the project “Gender stereotypes in schoolbooks” situated in the Institute for Lifelong Learning and Guidance. After completing the Bachelor Program in Comparative Literature at the University of Vienna, Claire received her Master’s Degree in Gender Studies in 2020. Working across gender, men’s and queer theory, political theory and poststructuralism, her research engages with the (de)construction of gender identity, the production of normativity through difference, as well as the development and risk of gender stereotypes.
In June 2021, she joined the team of the feminist non-profit organization CID Fraen an Gender. As a political officer, Claire is responsible for organizing and hosting workshops on sexism and sexual violence, as well as working on guidelines for a gender-inclusive language and elaborating political demands regarding gender equality in Luxembourg.
