Monica Patricia Arenas Correa obtained her PhD Degree from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), in 2017. Prior to joining the University of Luxembourg, she worked as a researcher in several multidisciplinary research groups in Brazil and Portugal. Her research focuses on bridging the gap between the fields of computer security and material science, while her research interests include also image processing and authentication protocols. Monica joined the Socio-technical Cybersecurity Interdisciplinary research group, IRiSC, headed by Prof. Gabriele Lenzini.
