International Day of Women and Girls in Science 2022

Today, at the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, six female scientists of the University of Luxembourg share with you their experience. They provide an insight on challenges for women in science. They also offer guidance and tips how to pursue a scientific career as a woman. Their testimonies are intended as an inspiration for other women in science.

Women play a vital role in research, but they represent only one third of researchers worldwide. Catherine Léglu, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Skerdilajda Zanaj, Associate Professor, Anna-Lena Högenauer, Assistant Professor and Senior Research Scientist, Carole Linster, Assistant Professor and Senior Research Scientist, Natascha Kuhlmann, Postdoctoral Researcher and Isabelle Albert, Research Scientist, explain how and why women can and should engage in research.
