On 13 June, Europe Direct University of Luxembourg, represented by Maria Eleni Nikoloudia, will attend the European Youth Event, EYE2025, with a group of high school students from Lycée Hubert Clément d’Esch-sur-Alzette. Thanks to a longstanding collaboration with this school in the context of the European program “Values-Identity-Culture“, Europe Direct University of Luxembourg (ED-UNILU) encourages students to reflect critically on Europe’s past, present and future, as well as to weigh up the benefits and challenges of the European Union. During a whole day in Strasbourg, the selected students will have the opportunity to take part in joint debates, workshops and interactive activities with their peers, as well as with experts and policymakers. The highlight of their participation in EYE 2025 will be the opportunity to attend a Q&A session with the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola.
The European Youth Event is a flagship initiative by the European Parliament that aims to inspire active citizenship and connect young Europeans with democratic processes. EYE focuses on expanding the participants’ understanding of the European Union, boosting their active citizenship skills and providing opportunities for cultural exchange in the heart of Europe.
