The Master in Learning and Communication in Multilingual and Multicultural Contexts of the University of Luxembourg, in collaboration with Graine de vie NGO, invites students and staff to an evening of reflection and discussion around the documentary Sur Le Champ. This is the second screening event of the Alimenterre Film Festival trilogy held at the University of Luxembourg.
About the movie: With more than 800 million people still suffering from hunger and the planet’s resources being depleted, the solution to feeding humanity is not to produce more, but to produce better. On the fringes of agribusiness, more and more players, both in the South and the North, are turning to a credible alternative model: sustainable family farming.‘Sur le champ !’ takes us to meet Cédric, Diamar, and Mariam. Farmers from all over the world who show us that, with strength and conviction, women and men are offering an alternative, each on their own scale!
The language of the movie will be in English with English subtitles.
The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with:

- Tom Van den Bossche (Project Manager and Agronomic Engineer, natur&ëmwelt a.s.b.l.)
- Jenny Glaesener (Agronomic Engineer and Research Facilitator, University of Luxembourg)
- Moderated by: Gohar Sharoyan (Adjunct Lecturer and Podcasting Specialist, University of Luxembourg).
The discussion will offer an opportunity to explore the key messages of the film further and engage the audience in an open dialogue.
