As a worker in Luxembourg, you are automatically affiliated to the national social security center (CCSS). You are covered for illness, maternity and parental leave, as well as accidents at work. You contribute to your future pension.

In addition to the national social security system, as an employee of the University, you can benefit from preferential rates with private additional health insurance providers (DKV and CMCM). You can also benefit from personal accident and holiday travel cover, as well as cover for professional trips.

Your flexibility

Annual leave

32 days per year for a full-time employee. 4 additional days granted depending on your age. (what? I suppose you mean seniority, right?)

Additional leave for personal reasons

40 hours per year for a full-time employee to make it easier for you to handle personal evets that occur during working hours.

Public holidays

Take advantage of 11 public holidays that can be taken on a different date if they fall on a week-end

Customary holiday

Benefit from having 24 December off

Flexible schedule

Start your day between 7 and 9.30 and finish between 16.00 and 19.00.

Flextime

Arrange your work schedule and benefit from greater flexibility by setting up your work schedule on a day-to-day basis.

Home working

For better flexibility, work from home up to 4 or 8 days a month (depending on your working time and your country of residence)

Your meals

Restaurant and lunch vouchers

Each campus has its own restaurant where you can enjoy a wide variety of hot and cold meals as well as snacks and drinks at reduced prices for staff.

You will receive up to 220 lunch vouchers per year which can also be used in private restaurants and supermarkets.

Uni.lu vehicles

The University offers all staff members with a valid driving license access to a car sharing scheme. Vehicles can be rented at preferential rates for both professional and private needs.
