Facility Management Strategy and Planning

The Strategy and Planning Team is organised into three main functional divisions, each with specific responsibilities: space / logistics division, infrastructure projects division and central maintenance division.

    Main functional divisions

    • Space / logistics division

      Strategic space management, event logistics, furniture, and signage

      Workspace Management

      • Definition and implementation of the occupancy strategy
      • Guidelines for space usage and compliance
      • Processing of requests for additional space
      • Management of the database and definition of graphic standards (charter, indexing…)
      • Management of building signage
      • Coordination of relocations/moves

      Event logistics

      • Planning and coordination of large-scale events
      • Liaison with external entities (FB, ABP, MESR, City of Esch…) and protocol support

      Equipment and Inventory Management

      • Purchasing of furniture and accessories (lamps, bins, wall boards…)
      • Definition of stock management rules and inventory coordination (procedures, coordination…)
    • Infrastructure projects division

      Design and execution of infrastructure, technical and safety-related projects

      • Development of concepts, feasibility and technical studies, and requirement programs
      • Execution and reception: Monitoring of works until final delivery
      • Specific technical projects: Data cabling, security installations, Commodos and operating authorisations
    • Central maintenance division

      Business continuity, technical maintenance, and system optimisation

      • Business continuity (Development of BCA concept, identification of technical failures)
      • Design, installation, and operation of maintenance tools
      • Management and coordination of contracts and equipment
      • Technical monitoring and optimisation (Analysis of operating costs, consumption, and technical reports)
      • Incident management (Failure analysis, troubleshooting strategy, and corrective measures)
