The University during the winter holidays: What’s open, what’s closed

During the winter holidays, some University services and restaurants may be closed or may have changed opening hours.

University of Luxembourg

The University is closed from 24 to 26 December 2025.

University restaurants

  • Food House

    closed from 20 December to 4 January

  • Food Café

    closed from 20 December to 4 January

  • Food Zone

    closed from 20 December to 4 January

  • Food Lab

    closed from 20 December to 4 January

  • Food Hub (Terres Rouges building)

    closed from 20 December to 4 January

HR Offices

The HR Offices will be closed from 29 December 2025 to 2 January 2026 included.

Student Services (SEVE)

The admissions and accommodation offices are closed from 24 December 2025 to 1 January.

Our usual opening hours are Monday to Friday. Please make an appointment via “Affluences”.

Office of Doctoral Studies

The Office of Doctoral Studies will be open on:

  • Monday, 21 December & Tuesday, 22 December
  • Monday, 29 December & Tuesday, 30 December
  • Wednesday, 31 December
  • Friday, 2 January

Opening hours remain the same: 9:00 – 12:00.

Any exceptions or closures will be indicated on “Affluences”.

Student lounges Belval & Kirchberg

Closed from 22 December to 16 February.

Please note that these dates are subject to change.

Clinique du Droit

Closed from 16 December to 16 February.

Luxembourg Learning Centre (LLC)

Opening hours from 1 December – 25 January:

  • Monday – Friday: 8:00 – 22:00
  • Saturday: 8:00 – 17:00
  • Sunday: 8:00 – 17:00

The LLC will be closed from 24 – 26 December and on 1 January.

Reduced opening hours on 31 December: 8:00 – 17:00
