Europe Direct University of Luxembourg is a partner in the Erasmus Plus project Youth Participation Activities, KA154-YOU for the 4th edition of “EU FUTURE TALKS”, scheduled from 19 to 21 November 2025 in Salzburg, Austria.
This transnational project brings together young people from various backgrounds across Europe to exchange ideas and visions for Europe’s future. It promotes critical thinking, a deeper understanding of global challenges, and the creation of synergies that go beyond national borders. Through meaningful debates, participants will explore topics such as peace, democracy, rights, inclusion, European identity, and strategies to address technological and environmental challenges.
To represent the University of Luxembourg, nine motivated students were selected to debate with peers from other countries.
On the second day of the program, the students and their peers will work in small groups on one of the following four topics with experts:
- Competitiveness and sustainability: conflicting interests
- Freedom, security, and solidarity: together as EU fundamental rights
- Geopolitical challenges: the role of Europe
- Digital transformation & AI: changing times in Europe.
The outcomes will be documented in final reports and shared with the European Commission, Members of the European Parliament, and decision-makers at national and local levels.
