This summer, major train disruptions will affect travel between Luxembourg and France, as well as other key routes. CFL is upgrading tracks, stations and infrastructure to improve future service. Over 13 km of track and thousands of crossties are being replaced. If you commute by train, here’s what to expect:
- 11 July – 14 September: No trains between Bettembourg and Luxembourg City.
- 19 July – 10 August: No trains between Luxembourg and Ettelbruck/Diekirch.
- 23 August – 14 September: Disruptions on the Luxembourg–Trier line.
Frequent buses will replace trains on affected routes, every 5–15 minutes during peak hours. A special bus will be available for TGV passengers only.
Plan ahead and allow extra time for your journeys and don’t forget to check CFL website or app for real-time updates and bus schedules!
