During the summer months, the University strives to ensure a safe and comfortable environment on its campuses.
The University staff will ensure activities such as courses, exams, events, conferences, etc. take place as planned and run as smooth as possible.
You can take the following actions in the event of extreme heat or heat waves:
- Tap water is drinkable and at your disposal on all campuses. It is recommended to drink more in case of extreme heat (at least 1.5 liters of water per day).
- Limit your exposure to the sun as much as possible during the hottest hours of the day and avoid strenuous physical activity.
- Make sure you turn off your computer, lighting and any other heat-emitting devices when you are not using them.
- In the non-air-conditioned spaces, leave a window open at the end of the day to allow ventilation and cooling and to lower the temperature during the night. Close the window and lower the blinds in the morning.
