Training for Luxembourg
The University of Luxembourg will offer a number of tailored training programs to address the specific needs of Luxembourg, particularly emphasizing existing activities in the health sector and ICT/digital learning and teaching.
The University will engage in dialogue with stakeholders to ensure alignment with existing offerings and avoid duplication. All three areas will benefit from ULCC’s experience and tools in digital learning (online courses, including MOOCs, webinars, and other flexible and accessible e-learning opportunities.
The new structure will be made available to Uni.lu’s faculties and interdisciplinary centres to support them in setting up continuing education programs, whether they fall under the Bologna system or not. The University will develop a common framework for continuing education programs and thus ensure harmonized quality assurance and practices. It is expected that ULCC will federate existing but dispersed Uni.lu activities, including the University of Luxembourg Leadership Academy (ULLA), ULearn, Transferable skills in Doctoral education, and diverse mentoring initiatives. The proposed new ULCC structure should be led by a university professor who will ensure integration and communication within our academic community, and a modern academic approach to continuing education. The new ULCC will be positioned as a central structure, under the supervision of the vice-rector for academic affairs.
