At the initiative of the Representation of the European Commission and the Liaison Office of the European Parliament in Luxembourg, the EU-Network met on Monday 14 October 2024. Europe Direct University of Luxembourg (ED-UNILU), represented by Maria Eleni Nikoloudia, was pleased to take part in this meeting.
The meeting focused on the new priorities of the European Commission’s work agenda, on recent developments within the EU following the June 2024 elections, and on how these are reflected in current affairs and the daily lives of citizens.
The main aim of the discussions was to highlight the profile of the Europe Direct Centres as relays for Europe, particularly at local level, and to promote synergies between the various members of the EU-Network.
The meeting brought together the Centre Europe Direct University of Luxembourg, Europe Direct Schengen, Europe Direct Éislek, the members of the ‘’BELC‘’ network (Building Europe with Local Councilors), the European documentation centres and the Team Europe network.
The participants in the EU-Network meeting agreed to continue their collaboration and exchanges on joint activities and projects focusing on Europe, as well as on best practices.

- 12.15 to 12.45 – Visit to the Europa Experience: the European Parliament visitors’ centre
- 13.00 to 13.45 – Networking lunch – Buffet
