For those of you who have been following my adventures from the beginning, you’ll know by now how important it is for me to keep my sources in order. By sources, I mean the overwhelming quantity of letters that I’ve gone looking for everywhere, on site or online in France. The current figure is 2,346 letters. It’s a number that has been evolving, adjusting, that says a lot, that is not correct. The only way to make it completely accurate is to delve into these famous sources and see what mistakes have been done. But before doing that, one must assess the situation and see for themselves…
So that’s when I came up with my Excel files – which were already the subject of four episodes, which show what the topic is… – so that I can see things clearly and not rush into reading without first having thought through and put in place a coherent and reliable methodology. It’s not very glamorous, but let’s remove from our minds the image of a daydreaming researcher reading soldiers’ letters to their godmother and who kindly takes notes…
No, we need keywords. Identify commonalities and notable differences from one godchild to the next. To observe the way they talk about themselves, the way they reveal themselves, the way they hide… In short, reading these letters means constantly being on the lookout for an emotion, for something ordinary or extraordinary.
So, when I spoke to Joëlla about all these considerations, she immediately thought of Anita and her Tropy. I was torn between excitement and fear! Will it really add anything to my life? Won’t I be wasting time adapting my method to this work tool, which was specifically designed for researchers?
After some hesitation, I sent my email. Anita was welcoming, attentive and enthusiastic! I was able to ask all my questions before getting started. Above all, and this is what you are about to discover, I really understood that it would have been a shame to be deprived of such a tool in the action of reading and spotting nuggets…
Thanks again to Joëlla and Anita!
Happy reading!

Gazengel and Joëlla talk together. Joëlla mentions a software that could be very useful to her in her work and suggests that she contact Anita. Gazengel does it and she doesn’t regret it!
