Lorenzo Burcheri is part of the Digital Financial Services and Cross-Organizational Digital Transformations research group, FINATRAX, headed by Prof. Gilbert Fridgen.Lorenzo holds a consecutive bachelor’s and master’s degree in business management and process and environmental engineering from the Technical University of Kaiserslautern. He specialized in economics and wrote his master’s thesis on the potential of nudges on the energy consumption behavior of German households and derived an economic decision model.After completing his studies, he gained experience in product and data management in the energy and telecommunication industries in Germany and Spain.In his role as a doctoral researcher, Lorenzo focuses on behavioral effects induced by information transparency strategies. In particular, he analyzes the potential of a combination of dynamic electricity pricing and complementary information signals on the energy consumption behavior in Luxembourg.Lorenzo’s research interests lie in the synergetic interface of behavioral research, economics, and technology. His research aims to develop a better economic understanding of human behavior and to explore how technology can be used ethically to promote economically, socially, and ecologically desirable behavior.
