Ashkan Emami Neishabouri is a Doctoral Researcher at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability, and Trust (SnT) at the University of Luxembourg. He is part of the Digital Financial Services and Cross-Organisational Digital Transformations (FINATRAX) research group, led by Prof. Gilbert Fridgen.
Research
Ashkan’s research focuses on innovative applications of applied cryptography, particularly Zero-Knowledge Proofs, in industries such as Fintech. His work aims to enhance the security, privacy, and efficiency of existing schemes while developing new, more robust solutions through advanced cryptographic techniques. Additionally, he is deeply interested in decentralized technologies, such as blockchain, and their potential to improve transparency and verifiability.
Teaching
Ashkan has served as a teaching assistant for several courses at the University of Tehran, including Fundamental Blockchain Theory and Mathematical Cryptography.
Outreach
Ashkan organised and led community workshops on computer engineering, with a focus on blockchain technology, to raise awareness and improve understanding. He also volunteered as a mentor for high school students, guiding them on various projects.
Educational Background
Ashkan earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Engineering, specialising in Information Technology, from the University of Tehran, Iran. He also completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Engineering, focusing on Secure Computing.
